Of course major wedding celebrations such as golden or diamond wedding anniversaries don't happen every day, but The Galley of Lorne Inn must hold some sort of record for being the chosen place to hold not one, but two golden wedding anniversary meals on the same night ! Just imagine how it was that evening. Two separate couples with their respective families, completely unrelated, from different parts of the country, having both married 50 years earlier and choosing The Galley of Lorne Inn as their venue to hold such a special occasion on the same evening. It was quite special !

From buffets to three course meals, with a selection of fizz to choose from, we can ensure an excellent way to celebrate this special day in your child's life.

From small parties to as many as 450 mourners on one occasion. Whatever your requirements, you can be assured that we and our staff will cater for all your needs in a very professional manner indeed.

Whilst this primarily will attract businesses in the Oban and Lochgilphead areas, if you wish to travel from afar for smaller parties we can accommodate up to parties of twelve in our accommodation. So if you're a small enterprise treating a small team and their partners to a Christmas treat then we are the place for you too.

In fact at our sons 6th birthday party we hired a full size bouncy castle which was situated in the function suite. An absolute winner for the kids. With food to suit all budgets, we'll take away the stress (and mess) of having the party at home. We can also provide information on entertainers to give your birthday party that extra special touch.

For instance, lads have combined a stag night here with a boat charter and combined the excellent sailing on the seas with our real Scottish hospitality and fine food.
