Real Ale at The Galley of Lorne Inn

Since taking over The Galley of Lorne Inn, the owners Andrew and Sarah Stanton have made great efforts to promote real ale in their establishment.

Real ale is a natural, living product. By its nature this means it has a limited shelf life and needs to be looked after with care in the pub cellar and kept at a certain temperature to enable it to mature and bring out its full flavours for the drinker to enjoy.

Our primary supply now comes from Fyne Ales based in Achadunan, Cairndow. These award winning cask conditioned real ales are brewed at the top of Loch Fyne and are enjoyed by both tourists and locals alike.

In the summer, these ales are from time to time complimented, by ales from larger breweries, such as Deuchars, Spitfire, London Pride, Landlord, 6X and Pedigree to name but a few.

One thing's for sure, from one week to the next the choice on offer is sure to change!
