We will never share or sell your details to other companies or businesses for marketing purposes other than for our own business use, such as keeping you informed on news and offers by email or post (with your express permission). Detailed in this document you will find information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we are required to disclose your information and how we keep your details secure.

Should we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.  Any information relating to other individuals supplied by you, you will be deemed to have obtained their agreement/permission to this information being given to us.

Emails
If you provide us with your email address we may send you emails, either in reply to specific enquiries (such as one made using a contact form) or if you have opted in to our email newsletters. You have the ability to opt out of any of this communication at any time.

We will never provide your personal information or email address to any third parties except where they are specifically employed to help deliver our own services.

Our email marketing lists are also managed by our Marketing Company, Source Marketing. Therefore, some personal information may be shared with them for marketing purposes related solely to The Galley of Lorne Inn.

When someone visits www.galleyoflorne.co.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Any data collected by Google Analytics that is associated with cookies, user identifiers or advertising identifiers is retained for a period of up to 26 months.

Online Forms
If you provide your email address to us or complete a form on our website with personally identifiable information, your details will be stored to allow a response to your enquiry. This will be done in a fully secure manner.

Personal Data
To enable us to offer the online reservations service and the online subscription service to you, we need to collect and use personal data about you. This customer information is all of the information requested on the online reservations forms and the online subscriptions forms, and is required by us to be able to fulfill your requests. Examples of customer information that you may be asked to provide are; name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card number and room preferences.

We shall keep your customer information secure and confidential. We shall not disclose, sell, rent or share your customer information to, or with, any person outside of The Galley of Lorne Inn, without your consent.

Storage of Information
Your security is of paramount importance to us. Our partners use recognized SSL (secure socket layer) encryption technology to safeguard your information as it travels online.

We have implemented technical, managerial and operational security, rules, procedures and measures, to ensure that your personal information is held within operating environments that are not available to the public. We take steps to guard against unauthorized access, improper use, alteration, destruction and accidental loss of personal data. This includes rules for all our staff with access to the servers or databases that hold your personal information.

The Galley of Lorne Inn is also PCI DSS compliant. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Essentially any merchant that has a Merchant ID (MID).

Third Parties
When you book accommodation with us, whether by telephone or through our website, your name, address data, email and contact telephone number will be stored in our Property Management System, Free to Book. Your payment information will also be handled by Free to Book in a secure, encrypted, PCI compliant format. This is a requirement of your booking with us and your details are stored securely online. The Galley of Lorne Inn uses the services of third parties, such as strategic marketing companies, service providers and direct mail houses, to act as agents on our behalf. These parties are contractually prohibited from using personally identifiable information for any purpose other than that which we specify.

In addition to our booking system, we work with a marketing agency called Source Marketing who have access to our databases and systems which enables them to carry out marketing campaigns on our behalf.  They will never share or use your details for any purposes other than our own, as outlined here.

In addition we may disclose your personally identifiable information to successors in title to our business.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We take all reasonable measures to ensure that the information we hold is accurate. In particular we use reliable collection methods and destroy or convert to an anonymous form, any out-of-date data. Individuals may request details of all personal information held by us so as to contest inaccurate or incomplete data, verify the information and have it corrected as appropriate.

Wifi Usage
Free WiFi is available throughout The Galley of Lorne Inn for guest use. We do not collect personally identifiable details when you use this service.

Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our email newsletters, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about news and offers from The Galley of Lorne Inn; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Constant Contact, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. Enforcement
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
