Children’s rates are based on sharing a room with two adults and includes Bed & Breakfast. A child is classed as under the age of 15 years old.

Children under 5 years old are accommodated free of charge and a travel cot is available if required. Children between the age of 5 and 14 are charged at £15.00 per night including Bed & Breakfast.

Children occupying a room with one adult are charged at the adult price and at the hotels’ discretion.

Children aged 5-14 years staying on our Hogmanay package are charged £135 for 3 nights Dinner, Bed & Full Scottish Breakfast.  Children 0-4 years will be free but dinner will be payable locally.

Our New Year Package offers a wonderful 3 night break arriving on 30th December and departing on the morning of 2nd January each year.

Skye Suite: £395 per person for 3 nights
Arran Suite: £370 per person for 3 nights
Uist, Islay, Gigha & Tiree Suites: £345 per person for 3 nights

Well behaved K9 friends are welcome (accompanied by their owners) and are charged at £10.00 per dog, per night. Please advise at the time of booking that you intend to bring a pet with you. Click here for more details.

Stays of 5 consecutive nights or more benefit from a 10% discount from our tariff. This discount is only applicable for double or twin occupancy of our rooms with a minimum of 2 guests per room per night.

The Hotel will be closed on Christmas Day but will re-open on 26th December. We are delighted to offer a popular 3 night New Year break which includes Dinner, Bed & Breakfast as well as our Hogmanay Dinner & Dance. Click here to view information on our New Year Package.

Rooms are available from 4pm on the arrival date. Please note that during the winter season unless and earlier arrival time has been agreed by prior arrangement between Monday – Friday, the hotel does not officially open until 5.00pm, however a member of staff will be available to check you in whilst carrying out hotel opening duties between 4.00pm and 5.00pm. In all cases if you arrive earlier in the afternoon and your room is ready for you, then you are more than welcome to check in as soon as you arrive. Please also note that during the winter season when we are closed during the day Monday to Friday, if you arrive before 5:00pm there will be a notice on the reception entrance advising you what to do in order to check in. Please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 11pm.

Your room must be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time will possibly result in additional charges up to and including the cost of one nights accommodation unless a later departure has been agreed beforehand.

When you book we will ask you for a credit card / debit card number, expiry date and CVC number to secure the booking. We will also require address information to which the credit or debit card details given refer to. A contact telephone number will also be required. We will only use this card in the event of a late cancellation.

Policy for a booking of 1-2 rooms – The hotel will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 7 days before your arrival. This is defined as being before 4pm (the hotels check-in time) seven days before you are due to stay.

Policy for a booking of 3-4 rooms – The hotel will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 14 days before your arrival. This is defined as being before 4pm (the hotels check-in time) 14 days before you are due to stay.

Policy for a booking of 5-7 rooms – The hotel will accept your cancellation without penalty up to 28 days before your arrival. This is defined as being before 4pm (the hotels check-in time) 28 days before you are due to stay.

Policy for New Year reservations – Please note that our cancellation policy for Hogmanay is not the same as for normal reservations. Guests will be asked to pay a 33% deposit at the time of booking and the remaining balance is due w/c 19th December of that year. Should you require to cancel your reservation, you must let us know before 1st Dec of that year, allowing us to re-sell the rooms and in this instance any moneys paid will be refunded. Reservations cancelled after this date will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellation due to Severe Weather – We appreciate from time to time severe weather conditions such as the heavy snowfalls experienced in 2010 may mean that it is difficult or unsafe to travel. We too need to protect our business, but also understand the inconvenience such extreme weather conditions can cause. As such our cancellation policies above will remain in place, however if you must cancel your reservation within the penalty period we will not charge the appropriate cancellation fee if you are willing to agree to fulfill the original reservation at a later date but within a reasonable amount of time (i.e. during the next month). If however, the rearranged reservation is subsequently cancelled, regardless of the amount of notice given, the original cancellation policy will come into effect and will be charged accordingly.

What if you have to cancel?

In the event you cancel your booking inside the cancellation period we will attempt to fill your room. If your room cannot be filled, the hotel will debit your card with the cost of your stay less any nights your room has been filled. NB This does not apply for New Year Package Reservations, please see our policy above.

If you decide to shorten your stay whilst already staying with us you must inform immediately, and we will attempt to fill your room. We are a small hotel in a rural location and as such will find it most difficult to re sell the room at such short notice. You will be charged the full cost of your accommodation on your departure. In the event that we successfully re sell your room, you will be refunded via the credit / debit card details given at the time of booking. If you wish to shorten your stay prior to arriving the cancellation policies as shown above come into effect.

Bookings made after midday on the day of arrival are non-refundable, and are subject to the standard cancellation terms.
